Principal's Message

Dear Parents|Guardians,

 

 I am overjoyed at the opportunity to serve the wonderful community we have at Smith as your Principal. Smith is a place for all, students, staff, and families. We are focused on creating a community of leaders who use the 16 life principles of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, curiosity, effort, esprit de corps, friendship, honesty, integrity, perseverance, problem-solving, respect, responsibility, self-discipline, and service. Our teachers are focused on creating a learning environment that is conducive to optimal achievement for all students. We are creating a culture of mutual respect that honors the dignity of all individuals within our school family. We set high expectations for our students and ourselves which ensures learning that is rich, engaging, and most importantly, fun! 

 

Our family and community support are the reasons we are so successful at Smith. The time and energy invested are outstanding examples of service to our school. Because of these efforts, our students benefit most from the efforts of our volunteers. Our families feel welcome in our building and support the work that we do daily with our students.
